I had only met her once before, briefly, but even in that moment, it was clear that Jewel was a charismatic individual with a deep social conscience. Between that single meeting and the stories I had heard about her from my S.O., I had the idea to film a conversation with her. Even then, I thought it would just be an exercise in posterity – something to post on my YouTube Channel, but it soon became more than that. In talking to her, (special thanks to M for helping out btw), I was inspired to find other people who are trying to improve the communities within which they live. Thus, UNSUNG was born.
I’m not doing it for any fee or anything like that. But simply because I believe that there are people doing positive things out there who should, IMHO, be heard. In telling their stories, maybe others will be inspired to work for social justice. That can only be a good thing.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jewel sometime ago through a mutual friend . Immediately we hit it off, I knew from spending some time with her that although I had a very busy schedule as a single mom I had to find a way to cheer up my new friend who was battling this illness called cancer! At that time she was a bit unsettled as to which direction she should choose, i felt while i may not be able to do much for her, i can be A friend whose there for positive support and strength on days when she neededi it most ! I knew this vibrant young woman with such a warm heart needed as much love around her on days she felt overwhelmed. Jewel is certainly an inspiration to many young women, not only does she have a heart of gold but she carries a significant amount of strength in a character! I continue to wish her the very best life has to offer her and pray that many get the opportunity to be inspired by this rear Jewel, through this clip!!!!!!
