About

I am an up and coming filmmaker currently based in Atlanta, Georgia via Trinidad and Tobago. I do not believe that film is simply a means of escape, it is art and it can be used to educate and shape thought in a positive manner. With this in mind I try to experiment with film as form and as ideology, not in a preachy way (because nobody wants to hear that) but (hopefully) in an entertaining manner. My blog will (hopefully) reflect that philosophy.

    Hi Thomas,

I stumbled across your blog as I was trolling for information regarding the upcoming DGA Training Program Test…

First off let me say that I found your blog to be extremely fascinating and most impressive – honestly. I wish you luck in wherever the future leads you.

I have been trying to glean “any” information regarding the format and content of this test as I too am scheduled to be taking it on Feb. 11th. I’m just looking to see if there is anything I can do to prepare myself or any subjects that should brush up on…

Would you be kind enough to share any or as much info as you can from your past experience – it would be greatly appreciated!

    Sincerely,

    James

Hi James, glad you like the blog. There really isn’t a whole lot you can do to prepare for the exam, it’s kind of like those psychometric tests you might do while applying for a job online.
It’s nothing to worry about really. My advice to you would be to just don’t think too much about your answers. That strategy worked for me last time. There were some basic mathematical, vocabulary and general knowledge questions as well if that helps.

Unfortunately, I’ve decided not to take the exam this year again since my career actually seems to be moving along on it’s own. Hopefully that trend continues. Best of luck with it and feel free to let me know how it goes.
